Major Contributors

All the major contributors were dark money groups supporting the "no" coalition. There were three dark money groups: 

1. Global Impact Social Welfare Fund. $175K contributed.
2. American Opportunity Action, $300K contributed.
3. The Fairness Project, $385K contributed.

Notes:

• Amounts contributed are as reported to Michigan’s secretary of state by April 27, 2026.
• All of the groups are supported by labor unions.
• These funds tend to be supported by other dark money nonprofit groups; for example, the Fairness Project is partially funded by the Sixteen Thirty Fund and Hopewell Fund.
• The links may be complex and circular.  For example, the Global Impact Social Welfare Fund funds the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which funds the Fairness Project.
